In August, cycling enthusiasts W Bro. John Donoghue and Trevor Woodford set off on their Touring Bikes from Gibraltar to Poole, a formidable distance of 1,500 miles. 

W Bro. John Donoghue and his cyling partner Trevor Woodford have now recovered from their extraordinary bike ride from the Rock of Gibraltar to the UK which they successfully completed in August.

John is a member of St Aldhelm's Lodge in Dorset and raised money towards the 2014 RMBI Dorset Festival. Trevor is a non-mason and raised funds for Cancer Research UK.

Trevor has set up a fascinating blog of the experience, detailing all the challenges they had to overcome, from the weather (both sun and rain), to mattresses blowing up and split lips.

It's an entertaining read and quite inspiring, considering it was only a year ago that Trevor was receiving treatment for cancer.
