Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire 2013 Festival

Charity walk raises over £130,000

The Charity WalkThe Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire launched its next Festival in support of the RMBI with a Charity Walk, led by W. Bro. Max Bayes, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master. The walk started from the Province’s most northerly Masonic Hall in Stamford, Lincolnshire, and culminated at its most southerly in Brackley, Northamptonshire, a total of 70 miles. Well over 150 members from the Province participated, some raising as much as £1,000 in sponsorship, and over the four days 11 Brethren accompanied W. Bro. Max.

The walk was the inspiration of W. Bro. Max who used it, not only to give a great start to the new Festival, but to bring to all Province members attention the important and vital work of the RMBI, as well as gaining recognition that their continued support is beneficial to all those requiring its help.

Leicestershire and Rutland 2012 Festival

The 2012 Festival was launched by the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Michael Roalfe at the Annual Provincial Grand Lodge meeting on 25 November 2006. 390 members of the Province were present together with guests from other Provinces. The presentation by the RMBI President, VW Bro John Moore, was warmly received.

In launching the Festival, the PGM stated that every Lodge in the Province would be set a target rather than an individual per capita figure. The Home Manager and Activities Co-ordinator from Devonshire Court were in attendance in the main entrance before the meeting with display boards from the Home, and were kept busy answering questions on the Home and the RMBI and handing out literature.
