Successful Parachute Jump
for Somerset Festival
On
Good Friday, after many hours of finger biting, Philip Royce and David
Randle finally hurled themselves out of a light aircraft 3,500 feet
above the ground and left the rest to gravity and their long hours of
training.
Said Philip. “The
delight at seeing a beautiful fully functional canopy open above your
head can not be described. The descent took around 5 minutes and we both
managed to land roughly where we should have, even though it may not
have been too graceful! Lots of shaking of hands and pats on the back
ensued. It was a terrifying but unforgettable experience.”
Philip and David hope
to raise around £1,500 for the Somerset 2007 Festival for the RMBI and
would like to thank everyone who supported them.
