Bath to Cadogan Court Run - 17 June 2006

On Saturday 17 June, a group of brave Masonic runners from Devon undertook a difficult fundraising run from Bath to one of the RMBI’s Homes, Cadogan Court in Exeter.   The runners endured temperatures up to 34 degrees at times on the more than 90 mile journey, and took around 36 hours to complete the mammoth race!  Organised by The Association of Friends at Cadogan Court, the event was a great success, helping to raise around £8,300 in sponsorship from the Lodges.  These funds will go towards a new wheelchair friendly vehicle for the Cadogan Court residents.  Participants also raised an additional £7,000 from the passing crowds, which will go to the south west children’s hospice in Barnstaple, Little Bridge House.

The vehicle has now been ordered and will be converted to take a wheelchair, before being officially presented later this year.  Congratulations to all the runners who participated in the run, including Cadogan Court’s very own Deputy Home Manager, Karen Morgan!
