New President for the RMBI

VW Bro Willie E Shackell, CBE (pictured left) was invested as President of the RMBI at the Investiture meeting of Grand Lodge on 25 April 2007 by the Grand Master.

Willie spent over 30 years in the Army leaving with the rank of Brigadier. From 1994 to the present time he worked for SSAFA, an organisation providing a health and social work service for the Armed Forces worldwide.

Willie says, “I am delighted and privileged to have been given the opportunity to use my previous experience in charities and in Freemasonry to the benefit of the RMBI.  I take over a charity which works extremely well and has very committed staff and Trustees and I hope that we can all work together to enhance the excellent services already provided.”
