Green light for Scarbrough CourtScarbrough Court

The RMBI’s Scarbrough Court in Cramlington will be rebuilt at its present location after planning permission was given by Blyth Valley Borough Council.  This brings to a close two years of uncertainty and the RMBI is delighted with the decision.  Scarbrough Court has been part of the local community since 1967 and this news will be welcomed by all who rely on it for care and nursing as well as the staff.

Everyone is looking forward to the new Home.  Caroline Edden, Scarbrough Court Home Manager, said, “My staff are so happy that we will be getting a brand new workplace that will make it easier for us to care for our residents and also create a terrific atmosphere around the Home.”

The new Home will have more beds and will require more staff from the local area to cope with the increased demand.  It will also be built first so residents have minimal disturbance.  Work is expected to start in the new year.
