Mrs Williams was delighted to win saying, “I’m so happy to receive this award and I can’t wait to go back and share it with the residents and staff at Prince George.”

The event is organised by Care Choices and Robert Chamberlain, the Chief Executive said, “Sally is a deserving winner of this Award. She makes a huge difference to the lives of the care home residents through her dedication and hard work.”

The audience of over 100 guests from the care sector were entertained by veteran radio presenter David Jacobs CBE whose speech brought the house down with laughter. He later presented Dame Vera with £2000 raised by the event for The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy.

Mr Chamberlain added, “These awards are a wonderful celebration and highlight the high standard of staff right across the entire industry.”
