Scarbrough Court – Activities begin in lead-up to Grand Opening
Summer
2008 will be an exciting time for RMBI. With construction of the new
Scarbrough Court due to be completed this June, a number of events have
been scheduled in the lead up to the Home’s opening. A three day Open
Day, offering information sessions for potential residents will take
place on 19 - 21 June at the new Home.
Although Scarbrough Court has been providing
Freemasons and their dependants with the highest quality of care and
support for over 40 years, the new Home will exceed all the latest
government guidelines and legislation on size, accessibility and
facilities. The Home will be “future proofed” to ensure that our
residents and staff remain in the highest level of comfort and luxury
for many years to come.
Being built with the latest green
technology, Scarbrough Court will also set the standard for future care
homes across the region. Among the most notable “green” features are the
use of solar panels to heat the water, the collection of rainwater to
flush toilets, heat recovery on the ventilation system and most
impressively the use of ground source heat pumps to keep the residents
warm. These new innovations will enable Scarbrough Court to use one
tenth of the natural gas they would otherwise consume.
The Open Days on June 19 – 21 will provide
the perfect opportunity for you and your family to meet with the staff,
tour the facilities and join us for refreshments. If you are interested
