David Innes, Chief Executive of the RMBI appointed to National Care Forum Board

David Innes, Chief Executive of the RMBI has been appointed to the Board of the National Care Forum (NCF) which represents not-for-profit care providers in the UK.
The NCF promotes the benefits of not-for-profit adult social care organisations to local and national government, as well as consumers and other stakeholder bodies. The organisation strives to inform, share sector specific facts and advise on potential solutions to issues relating to adult social care with the Department of Health and other national bodies through involvement in policy reforms. The NCF also works in partnership with local authorities and healthcare services.
Since joining the RMBI in May 2008, David has developed a broad knowledge of the adult social care sector. In addition, he is able to share the experience of the RMBI's care and dementia work, and contribute to the development of the care industry.
Commenting on his appointment David said: "The NCF provides the care sector with a valuable voice to influence government organisations on important health and social care reforms. I look forward to working with the NCF to help shape the future of the care sector in the UK".
The RMBI also supports the NCF's ‘Quality First Framework' which strives to improve service quality and promote best practice in the delivery of quality care and support services. David went on to say "I hope that my close involvement with the NCF will help the RMBI to raise its already high standards even higher".
