The Long Way Home

10 February 2010

On July 12 2010, a band of hardy motor bikers will set out from the RMBI's Devonshire Court Care Home in Leicester with the intention of visiting all of the RMBI's 17 Care Homes over the course of the week.

One of the main aims of the ride is to raise awareness of the need for Brethren in the Provinces to support the RMBI and also the Friends of each home who help to give our residents many happy hours.

'The Long Way Home' bike ride has been organised by W.Bro Michael Robinson, current Master of the Joey Dunlop Lodge of Mark Master Masons on behalf of the 2012 RMBI Leicestershire and Rutland Festival. W.Bro Michael and his current Junior Warden W.Bro Mark Pierpoint both share an interest in Freemasonry and Motor Biking. In the past they have put these shared interests to good use raising tens of thousands of pounds to help purchase two new vehicles for Devonshire Court in conjunction with the Friends of Devonshire Court and the Mark Benevolent Fund.

If you are a keen biker that would like to participate in the ride from July 12 to July 18 2010, or if you would like to make a donation to the cause, then please contact Michael Robinson on 07802 330455 (email) Deverdun@ aol.com

Alternatively contact Duncan Washbrook on 020 7596 2402 (email) dwashbrook@rmbi.org.uk, Fundraising Co-ordinator for the RMBI and your details will be forwarded on to Michael.
