Shannon Court Garden Party

The Friends of Shannon Court held their annual Summer Garden Party recently to help raise funds for RMBI Care Home Shannon Court, Surrey which saw the official opening of the Davis Wing extension and the Sensory Garden.
The event, which was officially opened by the Right Worshipful Brother Eric Stuart-Bamford, Provincial Grand Master for Surrey, included many different types of stalls, a band and Bouncy Castle.
The afternoon also saw Lord Shannon open the Davis Wing which forms part of the Home's dementia support unit, providing a more comfortable environment for residents to sit and relax. The lounge will also be used by a local lodge to hold meetings.
David Else, Chairman of Fundraising presented a £10,000 cheque from the Association of Friends to the RMBI to help fund the Sensory Garden.
An enjoyable day was had by all, raising £2,500.
