Applying for an RMBI Home
If your relative decides that they would like to live in a care home, it is important to check what types of care the Home is registered for to make sure it can meet their care needs. You can contact the Home directly by looking at our locations map for their contact details. 
You may also find it helpful to talk to our Care Advice Team, Social Services or the Community Nurse. They will carry out an assessment that will identify whether your relative has needs that may require a particular type of care home.
We highly recommend that you make an appointment to visit the Home, accompanied by your relative. Depending on availability, your relative may also like to stay overnight in the Home, by prior arrangement with the Home Manager.
If you choose an RMBI Home, the next step is to fill out an application form, an eligibility form and some financial information forms.
A pre-admission assessment will then be carried out by a member of the Home staff or one of our Care Advice Visitors to determine your relative's needs and to complete the application process.
