Applying for an RMBI Home
If you decide that you would like to live in a care home, it is important to check what types of care the Home is registered for to make sure it can meet your care needs. You can contact the Home directly by looking at our locations map for their contact details. 
You may also find it helpful to talk to our Care Advice Team, Social Services or your Community Nurse. They will carry out an assessment with you that will identify whether you have needs that may require a particular type of care home.
We highly recommend that you make an appointment to visit the Home, along with family and friends. If you wish, and if there is an available room, you may also stay overnight in the Home.
If you decide to move into an RMBI Home, the next step is to fill out an application form, an eligibility form and some financial information forms.
A pre-admission assessment will then be carried out by a member of the Home staff or one of our Care Advice Visitors, to determine your needs and to complete the application process.
