Surrounded by four and a half acres of landscaped gardens, Devonshire Court is located in a peaceful residential area in Oadby, Leicester. We provide residential care and dementia support for up to 69 residents.
We want you to feel right at home with us. Here at Devonshire Court, you will have a spacious, fully furnished bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and a specialist team to support your care needs.
Devonshire Court can support up to 49 people living in our Star Centre, Trusted Avenue and Supportive Way, which make up the residential areas of our Home. In our Kindness Suite, we care for up to 20 people with complex conditions, including dementia.
We have approximately 17 experienced carers during the day, and eight carers during the night. Our carers will be a mix of experienced carers with at least one level 3 carer and one shift leader looking after each floor. Our senior shift leader will oversee the delivery of care in the home with the support of our deputy manager and home manager.
Most of our care staff have achieved, or are working towards an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care. Devonshire Court also provides specific and tailored training in areas such as Dementia Care and Parkinson’s disease.
We have a 24-hour nurse call system installed in all our residents’ rooms and each person has a personal alarm to carry, so they can call for assistance when they are around the Home or out and about.
We have a dedicated Activities Coordinators team who organise a variety of activities as well as trips outside of the Home, to support our residents’ health and wellbeing. We also provide weekly physio sessions to promote mobility and well-being for our residents.
Please note that the level of care each person receives will depend on their individual care needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Staffing levels may be adjusted in different areas of the Home to support the level of care required by residents at any particular point in time.

We are committed to giving our residents and their relatives a voice and encourage families to provide feedback on the quality of our services.
We actively promote residents and relatives forums and regularly carry out satisfaction surveys that are benchmarked to the industry to ensure that we continue to improve and develop our services to meet people’s needs and expectations. This includes taking part in Your Care Rating, the country’s largest and most authoritative survey of care home residents and we are delighted to be part of this initiative.
The nationwide survey gives residents a voice, putting their care at the heart of understanding more about how well care homes perform. The survey also provides helpful insights into the experiences of people using our service and we have used this information to help us continually improve as an organisation.
Alongside the Your Care Rating survey of residents, we also conduct our own annual survey through an independent research company Ipsos MORI for all relatives of residents.
Recent results from our annual national survey show that 100% of residents at Devonshire Court are happy with the care and support they receive.
