Prince George Duke of Kent Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support for up to 73 residents with permanent care or short stay respite breaks.

Prince George Duke of Kent Court can support up to 30 people in the residential area where we have eight experienced carers during the morning and afternoon, with a senior carer. During the night, there are three carers and all shifts are supervised by a Shift Leader.
In our dementia support area, we can accommodate up to 19 people with five carers, and one Shift Leader on duty in the morning and afternoon. During the night, residents are supported by a Shift Leader and one carer.
Our nursing area can support up to 24 people and is managed by a Registered Nurse, who leads six carers during the day and a senior carer and three carers at night.
Most of our care staff have achieved, or are working towards an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care. A Clinical Lead Nurse is available and oversees the safe and effective care delivered by our staff.
We have a 24-hour nurse call system installed in all our residents’ rooms. Some of the residents have a personal alarm to carry, so they can call for assistance if required.
We have two dedicated Activities Coordinator who organises a variety of activities as well as trips outside of the Home, to support our residents’ health and wellbeing.
We also have staff who are fluent Spanish speakers.
Please note that the level of care each person receives will depend on their individual needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Staffing levels may be adjusted in different areas of the Home to support the level of care required by residents at any particular point in time.
