Residents at Connaught Court in York enjoyed an Italian themed evening at the Home in Fulford.
The Home’s main lounge was decorated with bunting, Italian flags and balloons to give residents a Mediterranean feel and staff dressed in traditional Italian colours. The evening started with a glass of Prosecco, followed by a selection of Italian specialities prepared by the Home’s kitchen team.
Residents tucked into melon with Parma ham, mozzarella sticks, stuffed chicken breast with roasted vegetables, vegetable ragu tagine, and a choice of tiramisu or gelato ice cream for desert.
There was also a selection of beverages, from Chianti to Pinot Grigio and Limoncello, followed by coffee with Amaretti biscuits.
Activities Coordinator Stephanie Taylor said: “At Connaught Court we offer residents a variety of activities and events, such as our food themed evening that was very popular. Residents enjoy getting to know a taste of different cultures and it supports them to socialise and get together.”
