Residents at Cornwallis Court in Bury St Edmunds, recently marked Nutrition and Hydration Week (12-18 March) with a range of foodie events.
Residents at the Home on Hospital Road enjoyed planting sunflower and nasturtium seeds during a gardening session to welcome spring and to celebrate the importance of home grown food. They also sampled a number of fruits and veg as part of their 'five-a-day'.
Activities Coordinator Alex Winter said: "Nutrition and Hydration Week celebrates improvements in providing nutrition and hydration and as a care provider we are looking for ways to connect residents with nature and local foods. Growing and sampling different kinds of fruits and veg, as well as planting flowers, is a great sensory experience for residents, enhancing their health and wellbeing."
