Residents at James Terry Court in Croydon have enjoyed a taste of Turkish culture and cuisine at the Home on Haling Park Road.
On 24 November, Activities Coordinator Carol Roberts and staff at the Home organised a Turkish themed afternoon. Residents enjoyed a meal of lamb kofte followed by rosewater, cream jelly, pistachios and raspberries for desert. In the afternoon, belly dancer Maria Louisa who has made several TV appearances and performed for the royal family, entertained residents in the afternoon, and even got some of them to join in and learn some moves.
“Residents at the Home had a lot of fun. It’s really nice to do something different and learn about different cultures. It also supports our residents to get together, socialise and have a great time,” says Activities Coordinator Carol Roberts.
