Music and Movement at Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court

26 July 2016

Residents at Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court in Essex recently engaged in keep fit classes ‘Music & Movement’ with Henry Webster. On a regular basis Henry visits the Home in Braintree’s Stisted Hall to help residents stay active with some fun exercise sessions.

One session lasts around 20 mins and includes some light exercise that residents do in their armchairs along to music. Henry also brings along a large balloon to bounce through the room and after the class he plays the piano and residents join in the songs.

Activities Coordinator Audrey Brown said: “Residents really look forward to Henry’s monthly visit and you can see their faces brighten up whilst they enjoy the exercises and music. At Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court we regularly organise activities that keep residents active, which supports their health and wellbeing.”
