Residents at Prince Michael of Kent Court were treated to a special Western themed evening at the Home in Stratford Road.
Staff and residents donned check shirts and cowboy hats to mark the event. Staff decorated the Home’s lounge with bales of hay to give residents a real feel of the Wild West, whilst performing line dances and playing Western music.
The evening was complete with drinks and food, including sausage rolls and pork pies.
Activities Coordinator Tracy Lydon said: “Food themed sessions are a vital part of the activities we organise at Prince Michael of Kent Court. They help residents reminisce, get to know different cultures and bring a welcome change for the palate.
“One of our residents, Dorothy Morrow, picked up the guitar and had real fun remembering and performing songs from her youth.”
