Residents at Cornwallis Court in Bury St Edmunds have celebrated the long Easter weekend with creative activities to help them keep active and reminisce.
Residents created Easter bonnets in an art and craft session, which they later wore to celebrate Easter Monday. Phyllis Mungham, who is over 100 years old, said: "Even though I am partially sighted, I'm very proud I could make an Easter bonnet and socialise with other residents in the lounge."
Residents reminisced about their favourite Easter celebrations, such as 'Bun Thursday'. Resident Ann Snow, who used to work in a bakery, explained: "We called the Thursday before Good Friday 'Bun Thursday' because we would spend all day at work baking hot cross buns, to get them ready for Easter."
