In November 2017, RMBI Care Co. launched its new corporate values - Kind, Supportive and Trusted, during an annual conference attended by over 80 senior staff.
To mark the new values, staff in our care homes and at Head Office are participating in a friendly competition to get staff members thinking about what the values mean to them. Staff will spend a minimum of 30 days focusing on each value to help them engage with and attach meaning to them.
Throughout December and early January, staff took part in sessions about the first value, Kind, and created mood boards that emphasize the different acts of kindness taking place within RMBI Care Co. each day.
At Lord Harris Court in Berkshire, Home Manager Cindy Alland and her team decorated one of the Home's walls with wallpaper about 'Kind' and enjoyed a party with residents and staff. At Prince Michael of Kent Court in Watford, the team had their very own 'Kind' t-shirts made, created a 'tree of kindness' and held a raffle with fun prizes.
Over the coming months, staff at Head Office and in RMBI Homes will be enjoying activities around the next two values, Supportive and Trusted, to help embed the new values. The Senior Management Team is also acting as Values Champions to support the Homes’ launches and a winning Home will be crowned in each region for the most innovative mood boards.
