Residents and staff at Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court in Braintree, enjoyed a day of Royal Ascot celebrations at the Home.
The event started off with a picnic in the Home's gardens with residents and staff wearing hats and fascinators, which the ladies had made themselves the previous day. The picnic was followed by a TV race night in the Home's lounge with prizes given to four lucky winners.
Activities Coordinator Audrey Brown said: "Everyone enjoyed our Royal Ascot Day at Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court and our residents got very competitive. Events like these are perfect opportunities for residents to get together, socialise and take part in national celebrations, which helps support their wellbeing and connection with the community."
