Residents at Scarbrough Court enjoyed a session of silent disco at the Home in Cramlington.
During the activity, residents were encouraged to wear headphones and listened to a number of well known sing alongs, as well as some rock n roll. The session aimed at supporting residents' health and wellbeing by using all five senses.
Activities Coordinator Stacey Hunter said: "At first residents were intrigued to see we were offering a silent disco but as soon as they put on their headphones they loved listening to the music. The activity was especially successful with people with dementia, as some residents who find it difficult to communicate, were able to come out of their shell and were singing and dancing along to the music."
