Spring goats visit Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court

08 April 2016

Residents at Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court in Essex received an unexpected visit from two pygmy goats from a local farm.

The twin goats Kane and Buttercup, who are only two weeks old, were brought into the Home by staff member Claire Burton, who runs a small farm. Together with her husband Glenn, she often brings animals in for the residents to meet.

Activities Coordinator Audrey Brown said: "Residents enjoyed cuddling the goats and many offered to give them a home. It is just lovely to see our residents' faces light up when they pet the animals."

Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court regularly enjoys visits from farm animals and pets as the interaction greatly benefits residents' wellbeing and health.
