Pat Corbin, resident at Zetland Court in Bournemouth, has celebrated her 107th Birthday with family and friends at the care home.
Pat’s milestone age makes her the oldest resident across RMBI Care Co.’s 18 care homes in England and Wales. To mark the special milestone on 17 March, Pat enjoyed morning tea with her family who visited from London, using the Home’s finest china.
Pat was born in Jersey and travelled to England and Denmark during her 20’s. During the Second World War, Pat joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS), the women’s branch of the British Army and by the end of the war she was a Lieutenant. She married her husband John in the late 1940s and together they travelled to South Africa and Canada.
Pat has been living at Zetland Court since February 2017. She says she doesn’t have any special secrets to living a long life, ‘it’s just one of those things.’
