We believe that people living with dementia can still lead an active and fulfilled life. Our staff are trained to deliver support that is individual to each person, so that you can continue to live meaningfully.
Our dementia support houses provide safe and friendly environments and some have sensory gardens, dementia cafes or old fashioned sweet shops, all designed to encourage reminiscence in a comfortable setting.
We are committed to making our dementia care service truly exceptional and have invested heavily in training for our staff and volunteers to work in a person centred way with people with dementia.
Our links with Dementia Care Matters, a leading dementia care organisation, has helped to deliver a dementia care training package that creates culture change and real outcomes for people.
The ‘Butterfly Service’ status is a prestigious nationally recognised kitemark, awarded by Dementia Care Matters to organisations that are able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent dementia services.
To date, a number of RMBI Homes have achieved the ‘Butterfly Service’ status, which means the Homes are demonstrating exceptional person centred dementia care.
