The OSKAR award recognises those who inspire others and deliver beyond expectations. We invite staff, residents, relatives, visitors and volunteers to help us identify individuals in our Homes and at Head Office who shine and nominate them for the award.

September: Jane Green, Senior HR Business Partner (North)
Jane has been nominated by a Shift Leader at Harry Priestley House, who said: "Jane has been very supportive and has shown great kindness towards the Home staff."
August: Leslie Bailey, Home Trainer at Prince George Duke of Kent Court
Lesley has been nominated by Home Manager, Kate Emery, who said: "Lesley has been very supportive to the staff especially the day and night carers and has helped to raise the standard of care. She is an asset to the Home as she takes time to talk, listen and help others."
July: Jackie Allen, Care Support Worker at Prince George Duke of Kent Court
Jackie has been nominated by a relative of a resident at Prince George Duke of Kent Court, Chris Reynolds, who said: "Jackie has provided phenomenal support for the residents and their relatives. She always goes beyond her call of duty to ensure the residents are comfortable."
June: Deidre Johnson, Interim Home Manager at Cadagon Court
Deidre has been nominated by Senior Carer, Alina Turen, who said: "Deidre has changed the atmosphere at the Home in a positive way. She is always willing to resolve issues and has helped us to work as a team.”
May: Mike Mutter, Facilities Assistant at Cadogan Court
Mike has been nominated by Domestic Supervisor Michael Newton and Facilities Manager Chris Treaise , who said: "Mike is such a nice guy for whom nothing is too much trouble. He is popular with both residents and staff. Not matter what is thrown at him, he never fails to deliver and resolve all problems."
April: Stuart Evans, Operations Coordinator at Cadogan Court
Stuart has been nominated by Anne Child, Pharmacy and Dementia Specialist Lead, who said: "Stuart has brought the kitchen into the heart of the Home and has been especially supportive of our Dementia Support House. This has included introducing 24-hour kitchen access to help provide on the go nutrition for residents and activities such as baking."
March: Samantha Buxton, Home Manager at Scarbrough Court
Sam has been nominated by Ian White, son of a resident, and Pauline Hunter, Regional Care Operations Manager, who said: "Sam always tries to help, whether it's a staff member or resident. She works to create a happy atmosphere and helps out during fairs and special events."
February: Laurie Barton, Investigations Officer
Laurie has been nominated by Senior HR Business Partner Jane Green, HR Business Partner Bronwyn Vasey and Regional Care Operations Managers Elizabeth Corbett and Pauline Hunter, who said: "Laurie is an exceptional team member and always produces the most professional standard of work. I also value that Laurie goes the extra mile to support the team when appropriate."
January: Lucy Hanakova, Deputy Home Manager at Cadogan Court

Margaret Jean Samuel, Shift Leader at Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court
Jean has been nominated by Home Manager Alison Aberdeen and relative Adrian Beynon, who said: "Jean's compassion, empathy, kindness and true professionalism provided comfort and strength to the family."
December: Neil Burton, Facilities Manager at Queen Elizabeth Court
Neil has been nominated by Home Manager Michelle Beer, who said: "Neil puts the residents first at all times and he is 100% committed to his job. Giving his time to others comes as second nature to him and it has done so for the past 40 years."
November: Marinda Aydinalp, Deputy Home Manager at Connaught Court
Marinda has been nominated by Regional Operations Manager Pauline Hunter, who said: "Marinda has demonstrated true commitment and a passion for ensuring residents receive their medications in a safe and timely manner. She pushes herself to do more; she is extremely supportive and an excellent role model."
October: Tina Brookes, Administration Assistant at Prince George Duke of Kent Court
Tina has been nominated by Home Manager Kate Emery and Business Coordinator Jade Gibson, who said: "Tina is a pleasure to work with and cares about the Home and the residents in such a special way. I think Tina truly demonstrates what it means to be kind, supportive and trusted and is a real asset to RMBI Care Co."
September: Joyce King, Domestic Assistant at Devonshire Court
Joyce has been nominated by Admin Assistant Rose Jeeves , who said: "Joyce took time out of her role to help calm a resident and make sure that he was OK. She didn't leave his side until she knew that he was calm and happy. Her compassion is a pleasure to see; she is caring and kind to all the residents."
August: Alina Turcu, Shift Leader at Cadogan Court
Alina has been nominated by relatives John and Phil Wakely, who said: "Despite having a very busy schedule, Alina will spend time ensuring that Mum's needs are not just understood, but also met. In the four years that Mum has been a resident at Cadogan Court, Mum has seen many carers but none as good as Alina."
